Origins / 2001
Marie and Jean-René “JR” founded Legend Motorbike in 2001. When online publishing was still an adventure, they imagined a digital magazine close to the tarmac: gatherings, Chapters, journeys and people.
The project grew through its network. Enthusiasts became correspondents, photographers, writers and local relays. Their work gradually built a shared memory. Riders gave Legend Motorbike a more intimate name: “Le Legend”.
JR’s exact date of passing is deliberately not published. The editorial choice is to focus on what he built, the people who carried it forward and the traces preserved in the archive.

Method / Sources
Le Legend distinguishes what a document establishes, what a photograph dates and what a witness remembers. This discipline turns a fleeting social post into history that can be consulted.
